I’m White

I find this pretty funny and sadly true.

What do you think?

I would add that white people like to try to predict what will come next on “Stuff White People Like.”

every time i read the comments to a linked blog post, i say to myself [sometimes aloud] “WEST, STOP READING THOSE FUCKING COMMENTS.” when will i realize AND REMEMBER that when i read such a post, and then see that there are more than, say, 20 comments, 85% of them are going to be stupid, written by stupid people whom i could not only never befriend [remember, i enjoy most of my criminal clients] but could NEVER tolerate in anything even so benign as conversation in a stalled elevator. i would have to tell them how stupid and inane their opinions and positions are.

this time, it took me only five comments before, ironically, i came back to the relative comfort and security of g pickle’s comment section, where i was immediately greeted by the soothing and heart-warming presence of cody g.

i was in my safe place again: “there are big, stoopid people out there in cyberville, mommy.”

Yep, Cody and I enjoyed a cup of coffee and laughed at just the titles of the entrys over there. We tried to predict some and were easily right, there are lots of suggestions in the comments, some of which are funnier (lake swimming in New England?) than the whole blog.

Glad you are learning to just say no, Kim. Now try that with all of your local conservationist blogs. Don’t drink the water!

That blog has definitely touched a nerve. Two months and 3 million hits? And some of the posts have over 300 comments, one has over 1,000. I think the blog itself is well done satire. I really did find the bicycle entry funny and sadly true. The opening recommending bicycle shops being good places to find white people on Saturdays is pretty sound advice. Of course I live in Iowa, where even the ground is white (seasonally) but I have also had the benefit of country-wide travel and have seen differences in Georgia and New Mexico and Chicago and the like. But, when I go to bicycle shops, rides, races, tradeshows, etc I know without knowing who (mostly) is going to be there with me.

Hope that anger management ride is effective, Ari.

Have you ever considered about adding a little bit more than just your articles?
I mean, what you say is fundamental and all. Nevertheless think about if you added some great graphics or video clips to give
your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this site could definitely be one of the
most beneficial in its niche. Amazing blog!
